The shoreline at Burleigh Point is famous for its dark basalt rocks and powerful surf. In this image, the ocean waves crash against the heavy stones as the first light of the day breaks across the horizon. A huge boulder sits right on the edge of the water and provides a perfect vantage point to watch the world wake up.
Far across the water, the sun peaks over the horizon and sets the clouds ablaze with a bright orange glow. There is a moment of total stillness seeing the transition from darkness to day from the top of the rocks. This scene captures the raw energy of the Gold Coast and the promise of a fresh start with every new dawn.
