Awakening

The morning started with a heavy layer of cloud, but as the sun came up, a bright burst of pink broke right through the middle. It is one of those magical moments at Burleigh where the sky just opens up to show off its colors against the moody clouds.
A shallow pool of still water left by the tide acts like a mirror, reflecting that pink light and the cloud shapes perfectly. The water is so clear and calm that you can see the rocks resting underneath, adding some great texture to the foreground. It is a peaceful and quiet start to the day that was well worth waking up for.
