The Golden Arch
Currumbin, Queensland, Australia
I arrived at Currumbin Rock to catch the end of the day and found a rainbow framing the landmark perfectly. The sun was setting right behind it, which filled the clouds with a slight orange glow and made the whole sky feel warm. The colors of the arch were caught up in that light, blending into the clouds as the sun went down.
This light makes the whole scene feel connected, with the rainbow and the clouds sharing the same glow as the arch sits over the rugged shape of the rock. This rare alignment of the weather and the sunset created a natural frame that held its color even as the light began to shift.
