Antelope Canyon Stars

The narrow passages of Upper Antelope Canyon are often filled with crowds and constant motion during the daylight hours. At night, the canyon transforms into a silent and pitch black sanctuary where only the sounds of the desert remain. On a clear evening, the view through the towering sandstone walls reveals a spectacular display of stars shining above the deep desert floor.
Being in the canyon at night with no one around was a completely different experience. I took this shot looking up at the night sky from the narrow opening of the canyon entrance. A small amount of light was all I needed to make those ancient sandstone walls glow and come to life.
