Tom and Eva

Tom & Eva, Loch Ard Gorge – Great Ocean Road, VIC

Tom and Eva (formerly the Island Archway before its collapse) are two rock pillars named after two teenage survivors of the Loch Ard shipwreck in 1878. This rock formation is part of Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia, about three minutes drive from The Twelve Apostles.

The coastline along the Great Ocean Road is truly amazing and the scenery everywhere you look is beautiful. I spent this afternoon watching the sunset at Lock Ard Gorge and I have to say this view overlooking Tom and Eva is equally as spectacular as the Twelve Apostles. It’s hard to believe that I had this spot to myself most of the time during the sunset here and although I didn’t get the bright colourful sunset I was hoping for however I still managed to get a nice sun burst as the sun peeked through the clouds.
