Tom and Eva

Port Campbell, Victoria, Australia

Tom and Eva are two massive rock pillars named after the teenage survivors of the Loch Ard shipwreck in 1878. Formerly part of a natural archway before its collapse, this formation sits within Port Campbell National Park just a short drive from the Twelve Apostles. The coastline along the Great Ocean Road is truly amazing and the scenery is beautiful in every direction.

I spent the afternoon watching the sunset at Loch Ard Gorge and found this view to be just as spectacular as its more famous neighbors. It was hard to believe I had the entire spot to myself for most of the afternoon. Although the sky didn’t produce a bright colorful sunset, I managed to capture a beautiful sun burst as the light peeked through the clouds
