Rising Phoenix

The sky really delivered for this sunset, with the clouds taking on a shape that looks like a phoenix in flight. Those bright yellow tones give the whole scene a lot of heat, making the cloud formation stand out as the clear focus. It is one of those moments where the light and the shapes in the air just line up perfectly.
In the foreground, the waves crashing over the rocks add some power and movement to the shot. The white water hitting the stones catches the last of that sunset glow, balancing out the drama happening in the sky. It is a loud and vivid way to watch the day end at Greenmount.
