Pink Ribbon

I arrived at the shoreline in Currumbin during the quiet moments before the sun reached the horizon. The beach was still and the morning air was cool as the first light began to filter through the sky. A long, thin band of clouds sat perfectly on the horizon, catching the early light and turning a soft, vibrant pink.
This ribbon of colour reflected on the wet sand and the retreating tide, creating a mirror effect along the water’s edge. It is a brief window of time where the world feels completely calm before the day begins. The contrast of the warm pink clouds against the deep blue of the pre sunrise sky creates a peaceful balance that only lasts for a few minutes.
