The morning light at Greenmount is something else when the sky really puts on a show. There is a great contrast between the structure of the stairs and the soft colors reflecting off the wet rocks. It captures that exact moment when the path ends and the ocean takes over, all under a glow that only happens right at dawn.
The waves wash over the rocks and the bottom of the steps in a soft, smooth motion, keeping the surfaces dark and reflective. This steady flow of water pulls the sunrise colors down from the sky and carries them through the foreground. It is a clean and simple look at the start of the day, where the quiet of the headland meets the first light of the morning.
