Twelve Apostles Sunrise
Port Campbell, Victoria, Australia
These iconic limestone stacks stand up to fifty meters high and are a spectacular sight along the Great Ocean Road. While the name suggests a larger group, only eight apostles remain standing after years of ocean erosion. This beautiful location is only a short drive from Port Campbell and offers a different experience with every visit.
I was lucky enough to watch the sunrise here several mornings in a row and this particular day was truly special. While the view from the main platform is always impressive, it is rare to see such amazing colors looking down the beach in the opposite direction. Facing away from the rising sun allowed me to capture a soft and unique light that many visitors often miss.
