Blue Drift

A solitary rock sits in a pool of clear water, resting against the light sand of the beach. The ground is quiet and clean, letting the weight of the stone anchor the scene while the water reaches out toward the shore. It is a moment of total stillness on the sand, held in place even as the atmosphere begins to change.
High above, dark blue clouds pull across the sky, their movement smoothed into a heavy blur. The long exposure captures the energy of the storm as it moves toward the coast, creating a deep contrast with the pale colors of the beach below. The shot holds that tension between the solid earth and the shifting weight of the weather.
