Watching the sun rise over the Great Ocean Road is always special but this morning was unlike anything I have ever experienced. As I looked out toward the two limestone stacks known as Gog and Magog the entire sky turned the most intense shade of red I have ever seen.
I wanted to capture the sheer power of that color as it reflected off the ocean and illuminated the rugged cliffs. There were only a few moments where the light was this vibrant before it began to fade. This image is a reminder of those rare mornings where nature puts on a show that feels almost surreal. It is a bold and energetic piece that captures one of the most iconic coastlines in Australia at its most dramatic.
