Standing at the headland for this sunrise felt like watching the sky catch fire. A thick layer of clouds turned incredible shades of yellow and orange as the sun finally peaked over the horizon. It is one of those rare mornings where the light is so intense that the entire atmosphere feels completely transformed.
The dark volcanic rocks along the shore provide a rugged contrast to the warmth of the sky. Seeing the first golden rays hit the coast is a great reward for an early start and reminds you why this spot is so iconic.
