Box Log Falls

Box Log Falls is located only a ten minute hike from Elabana Falls on the Box Forest circuit. Even though it sits just a short walk away, many people choose not to continue this far. That is a real shame because they are missing out on one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the entire track.
I returned to this spot several times to find the perfect conditions. During previous visits the light was either too harsh or the air was filled with spray that kept hitting my camera lens. On this occasion I arrived a bit later in the day with the sun lower in the sky and no wind around. I used a long exposure to get that silky water look as it flows through the gaps in the mossy rocks and finally got the dark and moody shot I was after.
